Jazz 2 classJazz dance is inspired by a great mosaic of music, movement and traditions. CDF’s jazz dance curriculum teaches both classic and popular jazz styles to create strong, flexible and balanced dancers.  Classes focus on correct alignment and centering for turns and jumps and articulation of the joints.  Classes include a general warm up including isolations, abdominal and arm strengthening exercises and stretches; center floor work including plies, tendus and kicks and movement combinations requiring both precision and fluidity that develop performance skills, self-expression and musicality.
